My time at Pocoapoco in Oaxaca, México, offered much more than a studio reset—it became a chance to slow down, reconnect with my heritage, and remember the many ways a creative life is nourished. In this Uprise Art Journal feature, I share reflections on learning alongside fellow artists, following my curiosity through papermaking studios and used bookstores, and creating a small suite of collages layered with handmade papers, natural pigments, and Mexican printed ephemera. Endless gratitude to Uprise Art for helping me share these works and the experiences held within them. Read the full conversation here.
